“We are not our failures.”

— La Dispute

Hey y’all — I’m Hannah, a Counseling Intern from Southwest Arkansas. I grew up surrounded by poverty, grief, addiction, and trauma.

Starting therapy at 16 changed my life in ways I never imagined. Having someone really listen and help me through my pain gave me hope — and now I want to offer that same support to others.

I work with adults who feel weighed down by trauma, addiction, loss, or just the pressure to “have it all together.” With me, you don’t have to show up perfectly. You just have to show up as you are.

My approach is person-centered and flexible — which means we figure out what actually works best for you. No cookie-cutter therapy, no judgment, just real support for the goals you care about most.

You’ve been through things you never thought you’d have to survive. Maybe trauma, maybe loss, maybe just the weight of everything all at once.

You try to hold it together, but:
✔ The anxiety won’t shut off, even when you’re exhausted.
✔ You’re tired of being the “strong one” for everyone else.
Boundaries feel impossible — and guilt shows up the second you try.
✔ You keep replaying old hurts, wondering if you’ll ever move past them.
✔ Some days you just want someone to actually listen, not tell you to “get over it.”

  • No — as an intern, I’m not able to accept insurance. I offer self-pay sessions at a reduced rate of $35 per session to make counseling more accessible.

  • My rate is $35 per session for a standard 50-minute appointment. I keep my sessions at a reduced rate since I’m an intern, so counseling can be more affordable while still giving you quality care and support.

  • It’s kind of like having two therapists in one. I bring fresh training, new techniques, and a lot of energy to the work, and I’m also supervised every week by a licensed professional counselor. That means you get my perspective plus the insight of an experienced therapist guiding me along the way.

    1. Fill out my New Client Form. You’ll see the buttons on this page.

    2. Check your email. You’ll get an automatic message from me with a link to request your first appointment.

    3. Request a time. Pick what works for you.

    4. Complete your paperwork. I’ll send intake forms through my portal, SimplePractice. Once everything’s done, I’ll confirm your appointment.

    Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. 🫶

  • That’s okay — it’s normal to wonder. You can reach out, ask questions, and decide if working with me feels right for you. Send me an email at:
    hannah@thetherapyofficear.com
or reply to the email after filling out your new client form!

  • Part of the work I do with clients is helping them build healthy boundaries, and I practice that too. I try to get back within 24–48 hours during my business days, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday.

This way, I can show up fully for you during sessions and emails, without running on empty.

  • If you ever find yourself in crisis or needing immediate help, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to the nearest ER. While I’ll be here to support you in sessions, it’s important you have access to care right away when you need it most.

Therapy doesn’t have to be complicated — it just has to be real. With me, you don’t have to put on a mask or pretend you’re fine.

✔ You don’t have to shrink yourself
✔ You don’t have to have it all figured out
✔ You get to be fully human here
✔ You’ll be met with tools, support, and compassion

  • I’m currently pursuing my graduate degree at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Because of this, I get to offer low cost therapy at $35 a session for our community!

  • I enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma and are seeking to move beyond simply surviving to truly thriving. My goal is to help them process their trauma, establish strong boundaries and effective coping skills, and define meaningful life goals. I support clients in understanding and processing their trauma and its responses, reducing negative symptoms, and identifying key objectives to achieve the life they envision.

  • As a human, I understand the importance of seeking therapy and support, not only to better serve my clients but also to nurture my own well-being. My personal journey has led me to therapy for various reasons, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, loss, and boundary setting. However, I truly believe that any inkling to explore therapy is reason enough to begin. I am committed to continuing my own support system as I support others, ensuring that I can provide the best possible care.

  • I strive to make counseling accessible to everyone, regardless of location or travel limitations. I provide in-person sessions in Springdale, AR, or via our secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal for Arkansas residents.

Resources, to me, are like trusted friends along the journey. They offer fresh perspectives, gentle reminders, and practical tools to help you navigate life’s chaos and beauty. Think of this collection as a little box of encouragement and insight — here when you need a nudge, an idea, or just something to remind you you’re not alone in figuring it all out. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and come back anytime you need a spark of inspiration.
